Love songs are fine but protest songs are better and harder…if songs and we song-writers don’t move beyond our own petty emotions, and teenage ideas about “luv” and relationships it’s dum…there is “me”….”me” and “you” and then “we”….the social “we” is much kooler….and more interesting and adult….

A few narrow juvenile emotions and stories about “mating and dating” are the focus of business, the web and art…it’s the easiet to sell – so there we go!…..it’s a yawn…

The power holders in southern society were brutally violent – the opposition was not.  Guess who won?…Lots of bravery and lots of viciousness, esp from most politicians… who were cowed to encourage and support the hatred and violence…of course…hatred works, short-term, but is also suicidal…
